On August 27, 2026, an executive order in Washington directed the United States government to start calling Lake Ontario “Lake America.”

Some maps changed it. Others refused.

The lake, being a lake, said nothing at all.

We started Keep It Ontario that same week. We’ll admit that isn’t a long and storied founding—but this was never supposed to be a history lesson or a political campaign.

It was a simple response to a ridiculous idea.

Lake Ontario has carried its name for centuries. It predates executive orders, internet maps and both of the countries that now share its shoreline. It doesn’t need permission to remain Lake Ontario, and the people who live beside it don’t need permission to be proud of it.

This is our home

Lake Ontario is more than a name on a map.

It’s early mornings at the marina. Long weekends at the cottage. Cold swims, crowded beaches, quiet docks and evenings that run later than planned. It’s where we boat, paddle, fish, walk, work and grow up.

For millions of Canadians, it’s part of home.

Keep It Ontario was created for the people who know that feeling—and for anyone who believes the places that shape us are worth standing behind.

We’re proudly Canadian, without needing to shout about it. No chest-thumping. No manufactured outrage. Just a red maple leaf, a familiar name and the quiet confidence that some things don’t need to be renamed, rebranded or explained.

Made with intention

Everything we sell is produced to order, one piece at a time.

We use garments we would wear ourselves and create designs that are clean, durable and easy to live in. No warehouses packed with unwanted inventory. No massive production runs. No products manufactured simply to be cleared out later with a fake sale.

Making each order individually takes a little longer, but it creates less waste and keeps our focus on making products people will genuinely want to keep wearing.
